Scholarly Interests:
Critical thinking and its importance in the development of direct practice social
work skills. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 40 years of experience
in direct clinical practice, administration, policy and program planning in maternal
and child health at the local, state and federal level. She is committed to educating
effective social workers to meet the challenge of the changing environment.

Scholarly Interests:
Community development as it relates to the provision of services for children and
families impacted by social emotional issues and trauma. With a focus on systems
theory, Ms. Godbold has provided direct services as a therapist and indirectly as
an administrator for children and adults in the areas of child welfare, mental health
and schools. Ms. Godbold is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed School
Social Worker.

Scholarly Interests:
Amzie Moore studies resilience among urban disadvantaged African American and Latinx
youth. His primary research interests are youth development and positive youth development.
Dr. Moore has expertise and research experience in mixed method approaches and examining
interventions for their effectiveness. He is also interested in theory development.
Dr. Moore has received three teaching awards, which includes Outstanding Professor
Award from Congressman Danny K. Davis. He is also a research associate for the Risk
and Resilience Lab at Loyola University Chicago and a Consultant for Research and
Strategy for the Empowerment Counseling Program of Loyola University Chicago.

of her work to children, youth, and families locally and globally. She was the Executive
Director of the Southwest Youth Collaborative.
