Departmental Named Awards

College & Departmental Named Awards are special awards created by the college or its departments to recognize students' specific achievements. Each award has its own criteria and significance, as explained below, and students are chosen by college or departmental faculty.

Artice W. Harmon Memorial Scholarship
The Artice W. Harmon Memorial Scholarship awards $500 to a graduate-level occupational therapy major and underrepresented minority who demonstrates initiative in scholarly pursuits, leadership abilities and diligence in the pursuit of a career in occupational therapy.

Batia Levy Family Scholarship
This award is given to a minority student in their last year of the occupational therapy curriculum with a clinical promise to support participation in Level II fieldwork.

Chicago State University Foundation Scholarship Award
This award recognizes pharmacy students who are enrolled full-time in the P3 or P4 year, with a minimum 2.9 GPA (in good academic standing) and with active involvement within pharmacy organizations and community service. Recipients are awarded a $1250 scholarship award.

Promising Public Health Professional Award 
The Promising Public Health Professional Award is given to public health students who have a GPA 2.5 or higher for undergraduate students or 3.0 or higher for graduate students and have established track record of public health leadership and practice (externally and in-class).

The Public Health Leadership Award is given to public health students who have a GPA 2.5 or higher for undergraduate students or 3.0 or higher for graduate students and who demonstrate leadership in class and externally involving Public Health.
