Careers
Department of Communications, Media Arts & Theatre (CMAT) prepares students for careers in RADIO, TV, DIGITAL CINEMA, SCREENWRITING, ACTING, DIRECTING, PUBLIC RELATIONS, SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING, COMMUNICATIONS, and related fields.
Internships
All CMAT students are placed in INTERNSHIPS. CMAT students have interned with “Chicago PD” and “Chicago Med,” Black Ensemble Theatre, Illinois Film Office, Power92, City of Chicago Office of Events, Fox Sports, NBC, Leo Burnett Advertising, Flowers Communications, WBEZ, WVON, and WGCI including many other sites.
WCSU Radio, CSU TV, CSU Theatre
Students can gain experience with the CMAT Cinema Practicum, WCSU iHeart Radio, CSU-TV, and CSU Theatre.
