The Chicago State University: Strengthening Community in Physics Project

What You’d Gain: 

  • Funding for each semester of the award 
  • Mentoring support from CSU alumni who are doing amazing work 
  • Opportunities to participate in summer activities 
  • Development of tools for academic success and self-reflection 

Acceptance Criteria: 

  • Must be a Physics major 
  • 2.5 minimum GPA, or letter from a STEM advisor 
  • Two letters of reference

ComEd Scholars Program

What You Gain: 

  • Up to five years of tuition and scholarships to fill financial aid gaps up to $7,500 
  • Mentorship through one-on-one coaching sessions and workshops 
  • Tutors to help you reach educational success 
  • Networking opportunities with other scholars 
  • Career Development Services to help plan your future 

Acceptance Criteria: 

  • Must be a U.S. citizen with a U.S. mailing address 
  • Must be a sophomore student pursuing engineering or physics 
  • 2.8 minimum GPA 

This opportunity is funded by ComEd. To begin your application, fill out the ComEd interest form 

 

Illinois Space Grant Consortium Scholarship

What You Gain: 

  • $3,000 in financial support 

Acceptance Criteria: 

  • Must be a U.S. citizen 
  • Must be enrolled at least half-time in both the fall and spring semesters 
  • Must be majoring in a STEM area of study 
  • Good academic standing
