Vision

The vision of the Chicago State Alumni Association (CSAA) is to foster and grow a passionate community of Chicago State alumni through impactful engagement that supports the University in achieving its goals, and each other.

Mission

The mission of the CSAA is to engage the alumni of Chicago State University and Chicago Teacher’s College in a meaningful way by honoring the history of the University and promoting its promising future by celebrating alumni achievements, fostering lifelong friendships, honoring traditions and building new ones. This is done by connecting alumni through university affinity, career networking, social engagements, educational opportunities, and regular communication.

CSAA Board of Advisors

The CSAA relies on an army of dedicated volunteer alumni to advise on alumni needs, how alumni can support the University toward goals, and participate in planning and executing the corresponding programming. Beginning July 1, 2024, a new association structure was launched comprised of smaller advisory committees dedicated to specific focus areas that are univeristy-aligned. Below are the current committees with more being planned for the future. Be sure to update your email address here to receive notification of the exciting new alumni programming and opportunities. At this time, we have filled our committee rosters but will communicate via email and social media when we are recruiting again. In 2025 we hope to launch a mentoring committee and a scholarship committee.
