Our Team - Valencia Davis

My name is Valencia Davis. I’m excited to join the Kanis Child Development Center team as a teacher. I’m currently a senior Early Childhood Education major at Chicago State University, and I’ve spent the past three years working with and teaching diverse learners, including students with special needs.

In addition to my classroom experience, I’ve also served in several leadership roles on campus, including Student Government Association President and now IBHE Student Representative, where I advocate for student voices across Illinois.

I’m passionate about creating inclusive, engaging learning environments for young children, and I’m also studying for the LSAT as I prepare to pursue a career in education policy. My ultimate goal is to help shape policies that make a lasting, positive impact on students and families.

I’m really looking forward to learning, growing, and collaborating with you all this year!
